Fish Soup
Mother (Laura Wells) recipe
Equipment
- 1 large cooking pot
Ingredients
- 1 Lb Fish You pick, snapper, tilapia cod, etc.
- 1 Tsp Liquid Smoke
- ΒΌ Cup Olive Oil Or other
- 1 Medium Onion Chopped
- 1 Large Green Pepper Chopped
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Tbsp Dried Parsley
- 1 Lb Can of Tomatoes
- 8 Oz Can of Tomato Sauce
- 3 Cups Water
- 1 Bag New Potatoes Quartered
Instructions
- Place cubed fish in a bowl with liquid smoke to rest for 30 Minutes
- In the pot, brown Onion and Green Pepper in oil, add garlic at the end
- Place all other ingredients into the pot, bring to a boil and simmer another 20 minutes
- Test Potatoes. When they are almost done, add the fish and cook another 3-5 minutes.
- Serve with tabasco, add salt & pepper to taste
